Hi, I have built the standard simple (triode connected) circuit from Svetlana site if you mean Line stage preamp.I modified the circuit to use Telefunken EF804s that I have many,(Electrically same only pin layout different) and built a Pi (Capacitor-Choke-capacitor) filter power supply with EZ81 rectifier.It replaced the DACT Battery line stage and since then, I don't feel I have any reason to replace it.It sounds wonderful.
But, one thing to consider is, it has a 25dB gain (a little bit high for CD)so be careful for the gain distribution.
