That design will nail the hum down but it's unlikely it will sound very good , AC will probably sound better . My suggestion is to try a ring of two CCS , rather than a series regulator . CCS connected chip regs sound ok but no-where near as good as a ring of two . If you absolutely must use a series reg , follow it with a laminated choke >30mH . You will need to adjust the output voltage by adding diodes between the reg 0v pin and 0V rail or use an adjustable reg if you do this
ps I don't know what that 1000uF cap on the output of the reg chip will do , I've never seen caps this value used in that place before . It may cause some instability
