In my day we called it current-series feedback. The four kinds were: a) a voltage amp using voltage-series feedback; b) a transconductance amp using current-series feedback; c) a current amp using current-shunt feedback, and; d) a transresistance amp with voltage-shunt feedback.
Terms change and probably new combinations were found so a new terminology got set up for simplicity.??
