The crosstalk before the sound enters the microphones and the crosstalk after the signal becomes sound again are both acoustic phenomena.
In between it is an audio signal. Cross talk between channels has nothing to do with acoustics. It is just another source of noise.
That is why it matters, to some, occasionally, if the music is really dull, OK?
