According to the catalog Vitamin Q oil is: "A substantially linear, controlled, molecular weight hydrocarbon polymer..." I have heard that it contains pcb's, but really in the amounts it is present ( I have cut open Vitamin Q's and other capacitors ) I sincerely doubt it would be any real health risk. Now Matsushita made some oil caps that absolutely flow with oils. John E Fast made some too that have A LOT of oil in them. I found some John E Fast oil caps that also have pure gold leads...and I mean pure gold, not plated. There's some interesting stuff that was made and I'm not saying anything bad about the Vitamin Q, but I have found that John E Fast and Good-All in particular made some highly comparable oil caps during that period. The John E Fast are definitely IMHO better than the Q's and are less likely to be dried out as I have found Q's to be at times."I KNOW you can hear it, but are you REALLY listening?"
