I tried some lower value pf caps, like 68pf and 390pf, but they only took the spikes off the squares at 1Khz but not at 10KHz.

I didn't notice any real improvement in how the amp sounded but I was using some cheap test speakers.

I will try to listen some more on my main speakers later tonight.
