hey-Hey!!!,
I find that when there is a minimum of shunt capacitance effects, as in FB compensation, self resonant inductor behaviour, or CCS high-frequency degradation an amp will sound better. Just thinking of the RIAA filter in a low level phono stage makes me a bit worried...:)
In dealing with the FB compensation, start small and work your way up. Perhaps get a sack of 30 pF caps and add more of them until it behaves properly?
cheers,
Douglas
