Hi.

As I said, I'm yet to run into any solid state audio amps that give me being-there musical environment as close as a very good triode amp.

Mind you, I am very serious with my music as much as those crazy about their caps if not more. DIY is a tool to get better music. It can be some "banana peels" or whatever, I take it as long as it gives me good music. I admit my ears are very skeptical, considering I am so often exposed to live music played by my elder son, a veteran classical pianist (hobby).

What type of music you enjoy most?

Where you live? If you live in San Francisco/Baya areas, I may stop over enroute my business trip in Oct every year. Or is it driving distance from Chicago? Or wherever?
