Sorry, I do not see linear. I see randomly spaced lines screaming high order harmonics. Moving horizontal across the 40ma line (assuming an ideal CCS) I measure the following 8 distances between the 9 grid lines. (in random units)

Of course I can make no prediction on how this will sound, but if linearity is our goal....
