Driver was a choke loaded 7236 cathode follower . I tested my VT127 on an AVO CT160 valve tester with outboard filament supply . At 400V with 0V grid bias , you should have a target result of 40mA 1.8mA/V . However you test the things , use an NTC on each leg of the filament transformer for a slow start
