From the Aikenamps website I get this formula to calc for Ck…
Cathode Impedance =(ra+Rp)/(mu+1)
Example for a 45 triode with 5k OPT primary
(5k+1.7k)/(3.8+1) = 1.396k
Parallel the Cathode Impedance with Cathode Resistor to get Cathode Resistance…
Rk= 1.5k
1.396||1.5k= 723.1 Ohms
1/(2*pi*5Hz*723.1) = 0.000044 or ~44uF
Use 47uF for a nearest preferred value.
FWIW, math is my least fave subject too.
