In the case of the k40,it uses the identical conductor to the ft3 and I only use the 2200pf ft2 or the .01uf ft3 both of which are 200v but they dont break until 680v when we tested them on a DC supply thru a 100k resistor.
Yes the k40 has the most beautiful midrange and high end but its so dominant in the mids and it gives you such spaciousness that you need to put the bypass in some amps just to add character..The cit 2 and the macs I dont have to use bypasses as those sound very good by themselves.
The vit Q are my all time favorite.Thats the most magical cap I have ever heard and I see why VTV charges 80 to 120 each for .22@600 and above.
No matter how you stir the pot,you can only get out what you put in.
