If things turn out to be bad I will replace the SMPS with CLCLC as in the other amps.

Yes they are in the signal path ... unless you place a choke at the filaments: that would present quite an high impedance to the signal.

Ed said I noticed no improvement with chokes after the SMPS. I need to give it a try.
