75TH are a nice find indeed :) You definitely don't want any resistors or chipregs in the fil supply ;) I just did an amp with VT127 with it's 5V @ 10.5A filament . At 10.5A even soldered joints have a slight volt drop , the whole thing was 'cold-welded' . I used LCL with small 0.15mH 20A chokes to trim the voltage at the filament pins : 350VAtx-schottkeys-2mH+0.15mH-125,000uF-8mH with two SG240 NTC on the filament transformer primaries . I'd recommend a similar scheme for the 75TH ;)
Those switchers are attractive but I wouldn't want one in the signal path . You could probably get better results by using an isolating choke in series with the filament , maybe even a CMC .
