Hi.
Why digital PS? Yes, it is cheap to buy & small & light to handle.
But don't overlook the free bonus come with it - RFI.
All switching gears emit RFI which can be detected with a radio & measured by a wideband powerline noises meter.
That said, I am using switching PS as a highly efficient regulated charger for the 6V SLA cell which actually powers the tube heaters of my phonostage. 100% zero rippling DC. Save the wallet wrecking & back breaking bulky iron loaded heater filters.
But the switching PS is switched off & 100% electrically disconnected & isoslated from the cell whenever the amp is on.
So no more RFI dilemma.
