There will always be people that are one topic only people.
There is a grain of truth in it, just learn to balance it out.
Low DCR is good but so is critical inductance as Dennis admitted.
Low capacitance is good but not to the point of audible hum.
Fast recovery is good but not to the point of resonance.
Balance what people say with knowledge and experience
and you will be happy with the results.
Design and build to satisfy yourself and if others like it -
well that's just a bonus.
