I had that problem with my Quickie amps. Making 1/2 rated power, 10% THD and asymmetrical clipping. But still sounded very good. Probably due to the iron and motor run caps
In this case three heads worked better than one. Mike Sanders, Mike Samra and myself. Of course the bad measurements and sinewave were due to my error in PS implementation and starving the amp's B+, running it on a variac at 115VAC.
Easily rectified. Sounds good-measures good!
