Thanks for the replies.

The SMPS will be AC-DC. I am wondering about the fan (they are very noisy) and distance from signal wiring and parts. OH! Ebay didn't turn out with anything interesting so far.

Ed, do you have the SMPS in a separate box (far from the amp)?
