Thats exactly right. Spike suppression. It looks like the manufacturer intended to use them because the holes are there and labeled for caps. Maybe the accountants did away with them. I have some .22's I can use. By the way I'm still waiting on my k40's. I wish they would get here. The Sonicaps have
broken in a bit and sound better, but they're not as good as many people say they are. I'm looking forward to comparing them to the k40's.
