Dude,

IMO, switching to 220 nF. 716P ODs as the coupling caps. makes considerable sense. If you roll infrasonic noise off at the amp's I/Ps along with the coupling cap. change, you greatly reduce the chance of the O/P trafo cores saturating. An amp experiencing O/P trafo core saturation sounds very bad.

Soviet surplus PIO parts are a good choice for the high pass duty, as they are outside the global NFB loop. There's no homogenization here. :>)
