Soldering top caps?

I bought some E130L's to try as replacement plate loads for my 2a3 parafeed amp. I also bought some cap covers from antique electronic supply.. they didn't have the exact size (metric) but I got some that was close. Not close enough apparently.. I re-worked the clip so it grabs, but it still doesn't make good positive contact.

I was considering soldering the wire on and using the ceramic cap for protection. Would the tube get hot enough that remelting the solder would be a concern? Or does anybody know a source of tight fitting 9.15mm top caps?

Thanks
Chris
