I don't have the requisite experience to say "I don't like silver mica, they aren't any good" but I do know that when I changed from silver mica to Wima in the Dynaco a lot of what had been bothering me went away. Could be coincidence (some tubes / other caps broke in about the same time). For whatever reason I didn't like them in that application and preferred the Wima and decided I really disliked the silver mica. I think what I am going to do is just put two in series and get as close as I can and call it good (and hope for the best).
