In a set where the high end is relaxed compared to a good PP amp,the teflon would help that situation..In the case of a good PP amp,the k40s help because they are smoother and the balance comes out right..
The highs on the sets are not like the PP amps because you are going thru much more wire in the output transformer and of course this equates to more inductance which typically limits high end..I had talked to two transformer builders about this very subject..They are getting better tho.
It doesn't matter how you stir
