So far, my experiences with caps are pretty limited. I use them for pre, phono, and power amps. For now, I am using obbligatos for pre and phono for they require larger value at 5uf and 2uf. To my ears they are really good. Thanks to many of you who recommended these caps.

I used k40s for my old pre. And they sounded good. For Eico power, I am using v-qs.

With the exception of junk "shack" capacitors and such, I would think that different caps for different applications are personal preferences.

My subjective opinion, of course.
