Recapping is a great idea. Just be sure to keep the first cap at 40uf. The rest of the 20/10uf caps can probably remain the same value. You might look into some Solen film caps for those positions. Also, the 50f cathode bypass cap ought to be replaced, but you may not have room for a film cap there.
As for resistors, I would remove and replace every plate load and cathode resistor in the amplifier. Also, all the series dropping resistors that are carbon comp should also be junked.
What do these have for stock coupling capacitors?
