Thats true..The 502 has nice heft transformers but its an integrated amp thats sharing one 12ax7 and one 12at7 per channel giving you the preamp,driver,phase splitter and voltage amp all in two tubes and your going to be very limited especially since 6550s take more drive.This amp could sound very nice if you could build a better driver stage because the iron is very good in this amp.


It doesn't matter how you stir
