I am not using a regulated supply. My voltage fluctuates from 118 to 122 volts. The measurement I took from the transformer was taken with a variac set to 120v and got 6v on the unloaded secondary.

When you say I may be overthinking this do you think I will be within the 10% requirement from 5v on the heaters? It probably would be best just to get things up and running then see whats up with the voltage once the tranformer has heated up for awhile with a load.

This will be my first diy amp and just wanted to ask since I wasn't sure so I could learn a little more about the wonderful world behind tube amp (taking baby steps). Thanks for the showing how to fiqure the Zout. It doesn't hurt to know this.
