The JJ-2A3 40 is an exact replica of their 300B JJ 300B with a 2.5V filament requirement...it has the same chimney anode structure as their 300B and has pretty much all the same electricla characteristics of their 300B except for the 2.5V filament requirement.
In comparing the "construction" of NOS and current production 2A3's I'd think that just about all the current production 2A3's are nothing more than 300B's with lower filament voltage requirements...
