There are several issues here but I'll confine my comments to supporting my earlier post.
First, the original post was about preamps and they can be used to drive biamped systems or active subs so designing for good low frequency response is still valid.
Second, the point I made leading to this was in the context of comparing IT coupling with other means in terms of achieving wide BW. The method I described is a relatively cheap alternative that produces great sounding results, nothing more nothing less.
Third, your statement of no tube amp being capable of producing 20-20,000 Hz is totally false.
And last, I'm not sure what a 1,000W tube amp has to do with any of this or how it even entered the discussion. Power has nothing to do with LF extension though I accept that you generally need more relative power at very low frequencies.
