Hi.
Reproducing good music is the goal of any audio DIY jobs. So we have to get to know our music before we can judge if the DIYed gear sounds good or not. Simply looking at the scope was, is & will not be adequate to tell the sound of the gears measured.
Otherwise one will be cruising without a designated course.
I want to see we DIYers more listen to music, reproduced AND live performances so as to develop a guideline of sonic assessment of the gears we build.
But as you already admitted you got only a few CDs. I know there are so many out there who spend more time behind the bench rather than enjoying music with the gears they build. This is no good news.
Like a chef who seldom tastes the food he/she cooks or tries food prepared by others. How good a cook can it be?
I would strongly suggest you to stock up your music softwares & to allocate more time to listen to them so that you can realize how gratifying you will be when you find the gears you build sound so good.
DIY is music ultimately.
