The best amps I have ever heard were one off trannie coupled. I have never heard a none choke supply compete with one without, especially choke input & many simple other things. I as you use trannie out direct off I/V in NOS DAC's to DHT grid & trannie out on my DHT pre, all have hands down & easily beat caps coupling in this paticular gears, easy A/B & do it all the time. Transparency is the large factor that sways me into thinking trannie coupling can't be beat. even though I can not afford a good all iron amp at the moment.Also when I say transparency it is not something I have to listen time & time again is stupidly obviouse to my 41 year old ears. Some day I'll have front to back all iron coupled rig built by me & lots of mercury to boot..
