I made an adapter with a 9 pin plug and socket, series 1K resistors on the two grid pins. (call it a 6DJ8 specific socket-saver). No, I don't have any more 9-pin plugs... but you can make one by soldering 18 gauge solid wires into an 9-pin socket.
