...to stop 6DJ8\s from oscillating...anywhere I;ve used them and that's in a LOT of places, all you need to do it add a 330 ohm resistor RIGHT AT the two grid pin sockets - pin 2 and 7 of the relevant 9 pin socket.
A much simpler job than ferrite beading I would think - and beads don't always make a 'J8 stable in my experience.
It would mean that that socket wouldn't be able to be used to test 9 pin tubes that had different pinouts to a J8, but with 400 to test (WOW), once that's done you could pull the two Rs and be back to normal again.
