Hi Reb. That Cornell 450v capacitor might be a bit too much for filament filtering. What tubes are you using ? A 2A3 has only 2.5v a 300B has 5v. In order to suppress ripple you need coulombs, which means the lower your voltage, the higher capacitance required.
