BTW- capacitors

64.12.116.141

I tried some WestCap and large silver mica capacitors in the multiplexer and first preamp section. The West Cap are good capacitors sonically, but I give an edge to K40Y-9 in this application. The silver mica capacitors were poor. In fact, in the multiplexer output section, the silver mica sounded like music playing thru water with echos and this complex harmonic buzz saw effect phase shifting at different angles with regard to frequency. Just gross and ugly, something like a sonically bad LSD trip I guess. (I never used LSD).
