I appreciate the replies so far -- thank you all for taking the time to respond. I am considering everything very carefully so far. Lots to think about.
Neff and Dan -- tell me more. My Brenneman uses pentodes in SET mode (currently running NOS GE 6550As) and I hear a lot of the virtues you are talking about. The Brenneman, of course, is a cathode-follower rather than the topology you are using. Intriguing, and I want to explore this more. Can you cite any references or URLs where I can educate myself further?
