Thanks to the generosity of Terry Cain of Cain & Cain, we're able to offer a GORGEOUS pair of Cain & Cain's Abby single-driver speakers as part of the Audio Asylum Asian Tsunami Victim Support Auction.

How many speakers have been compared to the legendary Quad ESL-57s AND praised for their beautiful woodwork? The Abbys have, in Francisco Duran's review on Positive Feedback Online (see it on C&C's website). A early leader in the single-driver movement towards simpler, more coherent-sounding speakers, the Abbys are well-known for their ability to draw the listener into the music, rather than splattering sound effects around the room.

The Abbys produce 95 db @ 1 meter with ONE tiny little watt, and so are compatible with all manner of low-output amps. The Abby's excellent tonal balance, transparency and startling dynamics result in a speaker called "annoyingly good-sounding" by a dealer trying to sell far more expensive speakers!

The Abby's stunning looks are as impressive as their sound. With decades of experience as a master cabinet-maker, Terry Cain's creations are simply elegant and simply flawless. The Abbys are constructed of solid alder lumber, with a beautiful clear finish as standard.

Here's where things get interesting: if the winning bid exceeds the $1500.00 retail price, Terry will offer the winning bidder a "choice of finish" upgrade at no added cost. Want a pair that look like a Les Paul Custom? You GOT it!

In addition, Terry will pay freight within the contiguous US (lower 48). International bidders are most welcome, but will be asked to pay the difference between domestic and foreign freight charges.
