If I did a lot of live recording, I'd get the MR-1000. But it still comes down to the fact you can't archive DSD onto any media that can be played back. You are left to converting it to PCM which leaves you to making a CD or DVD-Audio disc. DVD-A can only be made on very expensive software. All of this has further pushed me to continue using analog tape for recording. I bet just getting 1 SACD made from your own recordings would be VERY expensive.
