One beautiful deck the kx1200u is, I was in search of a 3 head machine and found this one @ a garage sale for $20. I took it home and to my amazement it worked but did require a little TLC.
It's the best cas deck I have by far, probably underrated out there compared to upscale naks and kyoceras. I think it has everything imaginable except mic inputs (strange for yamaha a musical instrument co., go figure). That electronic bias feature is way cool.
I just love the features, looks, and sound.
On a related note, I just was lucky enough to purchase a Kyocera D-801 two head deck on Epay, it will probably rival the Yamaha; we shall see, the Kyocera is only a 2 head but probably in the same league (IMHO). It will be an interesting shootout.
