Home Tape Trail

Reel to reel, cassette and other analogue tape formats.

Those, look, great.

Does the larger one take 10-1/2" reels?

They look like early-mid 70s vintage. Vietnam war veterans would bring Akai decks back from Japan before they were sold here under the Akai name and when the the dollar dominated the Yen.

I had a Roberts 1719 back in '69, before they were sold under the Akai name in the US. Damn fine deck - for a consumer deck. Build quality and audio quality second to none in their class. TEAC came close, though.

You're a lucky guy.

:)
