Hey mrh, I had a somewhat later version of a deck like that! Back in the mid-70s, probly 73-74. Full solenoid transport controls though, not a joystick. 3-3/4 and 7-1/2 ips, half-track. Shoulda never sold it! Yours look like maybe late 60s.I don't know what to tell you about the meters, other than it's probably pretty simple. They're just a side chain along the signal path. I doubt the meters are the problem. More likely just a failed component along the way to them. Look for something which handles both channels. You do get sound, don't you?
