Happy holidays Charles!
I have an interesting Christmas specific tape that was (supposedly)never released for sale and the performance is only captured on this tape.
If it has a title, it would be "A Christmas Greeting in Stereophonic Sound".
From what I've been able to gather, it was sent out by Ampex dealers in 1956 to professional customers.
It's a 5" 1/2 track of the John Halloran Choir doing 8 common carols which are "unavailable in any other form".
To quote the back;
This is the first Christmas greeting ever sent in stereophonic sound. We do sincerely hope it brings new pleasure to your Christmas of the year nineteen hundred and fifty-six and to holiday seasons of years to come.
The front cover is a B&W photo of an angle ornament hanging from a string.
I'd heard of this tape from the Ampex list guys and this one is the only one I've ever seen.
BTW,.. sounds great!
