Hello folks
I usually hang out over at Tube DIY, but I have a tape deck problem I am hoping you can help me with.
I have a TEAC A-4010-gsl that I am just trying to put back in my system after it being in storage for the last three years. It powers up just fine, and the motors are all working and the tape runs through ok, but there is no sound and nothing showing on the meters. I tried a couple of different tapes and cleaned the heads just to be sure, but no change.
I am guessing it must be something in the amps section, but I wanted to check with you folks to see if you can give me a few hints as to were to start looking for the trouble. All help appreciated.
Thanks!

- 3 head? If so, do you have the selector(s) set to "tape" rather than source? - mhardy6647 08:38:32 01/08/14 (2)

- set to "source" you won't hear the tape play - mhardy6647 17:27:51 01/10/14 (0)
