I don't know why some people here are so down on cassettes. I mean, really, it's an eighth of an inch wide, holds four tiny tracks, and runs at a whopping 1-7/8 inches per second. Surely, that's GOT to be audiophile grade stuff! Quarter-inch or half-inch 15 ips two-track - why even bother!? Cassette has Dolby NR, too!;)
Having said that, my little Harman/Kardon TD202 actually does record a fairly decent sound on Maxell XL II.
