As researched by BBC, Danish State Radio and Swedish State Radio they stated that as for sound quality and reliable media for storage, they found analog tape the best.
Why would anyone make a 10th gen. copy of anything.
You will make a 2nd generation tape for use when multicopying.
Anyway, a copy will never be 100% similar to the original, not even in the digital world.
