That's a very important reason I gave up on acquiring 3014 and other later TOTL series. Once the heads wear out, one's sol and buying another 3014A for parts doesn't make any sense economically.

"My deck is back at the tech and he has found the playback head has some damage."

What kind of damage?

"It needs to be replaced. I'd rather get all new heads for this deck anyway, and I know you are closer to where Tandberg was sold then I am. Any sources for parts?"

I'm confused, I thought Nick had enough parts to last for more than his life time. So you can't get the heads even from Nick?

You might want to check out German ebay for 3014A heads. Every now and then, I see them for sale.
