The Reel-Lady is well know and a great seller. she had 26 bidders and has 99.9% feedback. REEL AND BOX IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. $255.00 +$3.50

unifiedgroove had 12 bidders and has 100% feedback. TAPE IS IN MINT SOUND CONDITION / COVER: VG++ $112.50 +$5.50

Since unifiedgroove's auction ended first those eleven who didn't win likely bid on The Reel-Lady's tape and the Reel-Lady's Box is excellent versus VG++ for unifiedgroove's and box condition can make a big difference in final bid amounts.

So in short here is why The Reel Lady got more money:
1) over twice as many bidders to drive the price up.
2) better box condition.
3) her auction was second and some of the bidders might have figured they would have to bid higher to win.
4) The Reel-Lady has a lot of regulars that have her in their favorite sellers and may have missed unifiedgroove's auction.

However to me paying this much for a recording is totally and completely bonkers. But that is just me.
