Nakamichi don't understand

I own a Nak BX-300 that I put away about a year ago due to it not working. I was told that it may need a transport motor because I had already replaced the idler wheel. But still my Nak would cause slack and stop playing after installing new idler wheel. I just pulled it out of the closet because I now have Audacity to get my cassettes on the computer. All of sudden it works now, of course Van Halen II was pulled out of the cassette housing. But now its working properly, I don't understand it. I just hope it stays this way. I would love to send it to Nakamichi.us but don't really have the funds right now to do so. But Oooo do The Violent Femmes sound soooo nice!! :)
