I do not know where you obtained your Nagra SNST-R, but generally speaking, the fine folks at Nagra should be equipped to offer assistance to anyone who owns what once was a machine selling for nearly $10,000 US.

Have you also tried other outputs from your preamp?

Lastly, perhaps Dan Dugan, the Nagra service guy here on the West Coast of the US, might offer some assistance.
