The Nak 1000ZXL/1000ZXL Limited is one of the best cassette decks of all time ( if not the best as some would argue ) and no other deck in the world can surpass its recording capability ( Its A.B.L.E. is way ahead of everybody at that time; simply amazing!! ). The other one that comes close is the TEAC Z6000/7000.

IMHO the best playback deck for playback pre-recorded tapes made in other decks is the DRAGON with its NAAC ( automatic playback head azimuth control ). The Nak CR-7 and Cassette-Deck 1 also has this feature but manual adjusted and the circuitry is not as advanced as the one in the DRAGON. TANDBERG's TCD-911 also has this feature but I have not heard how it sounds though and I don't have technical info about it as well ( anyone has any of this deck for share ? ).
